a great Bite-Size Business Soiree. It was a nice
mix of people, and it reminded me of all the benefits
and opportunities you can develop by just talking
with other industry people. Being in New York has
been quite daunting, and Monday night reminded
me that there are plenty of other people
out there who are in the same position. The
information that's out there for actors is limited,
and varied, and with certain networking
establishments shooting down new or fresh
approaches to the business, actors don't always
see the options that are available to them. I think
it's just superb that you're offering the services
you offer- and I like that you mix the necessity of
networking and the enjoyment of socializing really
well. Come September's soiree, I'll bring more
people along and I'll give out your card on the
principle that I'm already a huge advocate of

Bite Size Business Soiree- "Get a nibble, satisfy your creative hunger!"

Join us for our monthly "Bite Size Business Soiree," a one of a kind event that empowers actors to take back control of their careers. The soiree starts with a pay-what-you-can master class, and ends with a fun networking event- see below for details and to RSVP (PS: These events are best experienced with a friend!)

Part One: Master Class
Topic: Finding the Perfect DAY JOB

Date/Time: Sunday, February 21 12:00pm-1:30pm
Location: Studios 353
353 W. 48th St, 2nd Flr, btwn 8th and 9th Aves

Led by Erin Cronican (Founder of The Actors' Enterprise) you will learn everything you need to know about how to juggle your passion with the need to make a living. Where can you find an employer that is supportive of your acting career? Have you considered being your own boss? We'll discuss these questions and more at this interactive master class for actors.

Fees are donation-based (a $10 contribution towards room costs is appreciated.) But participants on tight budgets may contribute whatever they can -- which means everyone is welcome, regardless of income or ability to pay!

Part Two: Networking Soiree

Date/Time: Sunday, February 21 1:30pm-3:00pm
Location: Marriott Marquis, 8th Floor, Broadway/Atrium Lounge
1535 Broadway, btwn 45th and 46th Sts

Then, hop on over to the spacious Marriott Marquis Lounge where you can get to know your fellow artist. NETWORKING does not just mean "meet & greets" with agents and casting directors... Networking means building relationships with ANY industry member, and your mutual relationship can help to advance both careers in the long run!

All actors, directors, playwrights, designers, casting directors, agents and producers are welcome!

Bring your business cards and be ready to walk away with valuable contacts! (Food and drinks available for purchase.)

Kate Siepert is appearing in Its Servant of Two Masters which will go up at the The Silent Theatre in Queens, February 10-20, 2010. www.katesiepert.com	Floryn Glass just shot a pilot this past year for a mock-umentary called THE WOW in the segment "Behind the Scenes: Spiderman 4." Joel Haberli auditioned for and got a gig doing a voiceover for Luden's Throat Drops (3 national radio spots.) Also did a 5 day industrial for PPG Public Utilities, and completed a voiceover for Unicel Cellular and an informational VO for Aptara out of Falls Church, VA. www.joelhaberli.com	Louise Flory is currently playing 'Heather' in Extant Arts Company's production of BLUE SURGE at The Wild Project from January 21-February 7. She also is filming ROOFTOP, a vingette in the feature film BROOKLYN, NY, as well as the short film AN TE ATA FOLAITHE. She is also reading 'Rona' in KENNEDY'S CHILDREN in a developmental workshop produced Martin Studios & the In-Pulse Group. www.louiseflory.com	Gloria Rosen had her solo show "Listen...Can You Hear Me Now" - accepted as a finalist for the Los Angeles Women's Theater Festival. in March 2010. Elisa Pupko just filmed a third short for CollegeHumor, also played the lead in a student film through New York Film Academy, which will have a screening in mid-February. www.elisapupko.com	Jordi Juan Gimeno just signed with CESD for print, and is now freelancing with Innovative for commercials. He also booked a film with Horizon Pictures.	Kristin Cantwell had a couple of performances with her sketch comedy group, Curvy by Nature, at The Magnet Theater in January as a part of their Test Drive series. Be a fan on Facebook.


Robert King just signed with Judy Boals Agency. Elizabeth Flemming was recently cast (though ultimately turned down the role) in a NYC production of Fiddler On The Roof.	Debbie Friedlander just completed work on the film "Random Acts." www.debbiefriedlander.com	Mariette Booth is appearing in "Short Stories" (a full length, fast-paced Industry Showcase that feels like a play!) at The Abingdon Main Stage Theatre in October. www.mariettebooth.com


Mariel Matero appeared in the Short Play Comedy Festival on December 3, and recently produced and starred in her theater company's second reading series, Cornerstones.	Viviana Olen premiered her brand new sketch show, "Viviana Gets Desperate" at UCB theatre December 10, 2009.	Joelle Almodovar is taking part in the local competition, "Are you a star or just a bizarre?" which airs on Tuesdays at 11pm on the MNN channel.

Crystal Roman's comedy show, Ay Que Funny!, had a 4 day run at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe, and received a Holiday Show December 18, 2009. www.ayquefunny.com	Tal Yardeni produced and co-starred in "Love, Lost, Hope"- a brand new cabaret and the first show of her theatre company Endless Possibilities, November 23 at The Duplex.	Livia Hill staged managed "Sexual Healing" in December, 2009.
